Frequently Asked Questions
Do you require a deposit upon booking?
I ask for a $1000 retainer to secure your day. A second $1000 payment 2 months before your wedding. Then full and final payment due 7 days before your wedding. You’ll receive email reminders for all of this.
Will you help with planning our wedding?
I am not a wedding planner. That said, I have a Wedding Planning Guide you can use as a reference. And I am always happy to answer any questions you have along the way.
Do you back up my pictures?
I take back ups VERY seriously. I shoot with two professional full frame cameras at my side at all times and a third back up camera in my bag. All of my cameras have dual card slots, so your photos are being backed-up as I am shooting. Then when I get back to my office, every image is stored on two separate hard drives and uploaded to the cloud to prevent against hard drive failure, memory card failure, theft & fire.
Do you offer video services for weddings?
While I did get my start in weddings as a videographer, I currently am not offering video. You may see some video from time to time on my social media, though there is no guarantee that I will film enough to put together any video.
Do you shoot with a second shooter?
I love to shoot with an additional photographer, that said, I shoot the majority of my work alone. A second shooter can be added on to any of my wedding packages. I would love to discuss when having an additonal photographer will be worth it for you.
When do we get our photos?
You'll recieve your gallery 30-60 days for your wedding. And 10-20 days for othe engagement. That said, depending on the season and work load it can be much quicker.
Do we feed you dinner?
Wedding days are energetic and face-paced. But like most people I will need to eat. I do ask for the same meal the guests are served.
Do we have permission to print our photos?
You sure do! Please print them and hang them on your walls!! You can take your images wherever you would like to print them. Alternatively you can easily print them through your online gallery where they are professionally printed and shipped right to your door. Prints, Enlargements, Cards, Canvas and Albums are all available directly through you online gallery!
How many photos do we get?
Ummm... LOTS! I typically say between 70-100 images per hour of shooting. But often times it can be wayyyyyy more.
Are you comfortable shooting in dark spaces
VERY!! Infact I LOVE it! While I usually aim to use natural light in most cases, I do bring my flash system with me. I will do a mix of off camera flash and on camera flash. My goal remains the same in my lighting, to show you how your wedding felt.
