About Your Photographer

I'm a Winnipeg-based wedding photographer, a dad to two daughters who are absolutely my world, a thrift store regular, and someone who takes mid-century design a little too seriously.

That last one might sound random, but it actually connects to how I think about photography. Mid-century design is about real materials, texture, intent. Wood and stone over plastic. Things built to last, not thrown away. That's how I think about the work I do. I'm not manufacturing moments or producing content. I'm documenting the real thing.

I got my start in 2010 filming weddings with Paperback Films. We worked alongside some incredible photographers and I spent years watching how they moved through a wedding day, how they read a room, when they got close and when they held back. I was honestly a little envious of what they got to do. When my contract ended I made the switch to photography and haven't looked back.

I've been photographing weddings in Winnipeg and across Manitoba ever since. In 2024 I was named Canadian Wedding Photographer of the Year, which still feels a little surreal to say out loud.

When I'm not shooting I'm usually in the gym, hunting for something interesting at a thrift store, or at home with my girls. I still pick up a guitar occasionally. I love coffee and late nights. I'm probably more interested in the 1960s than any era I actually lived through.

I'm just a person, the same as you. I happen to show up to some of the most important days of people's lives with a camera. I don't take that lightly.

If you want to work together, I'd love to hear about your day.
