Pt 1: Colors of Love: Deep + Gurpreet’s Vibrant Mehndi Celebration

The Mehndi ceremony is a cherished tradition in Sikh weddings, marking the start of the celebrations in a joyful and intimate way. For Deep and Gurpreet, these events were a colorful gathering held in their families' backyards, filled with music, dancing, and delicious food. These events marked the start of 6 days of celebrations with these two, which I was fortunate to be at every single event.

Traditionally, henna is applied to the bride’s hands and feet, symbolizing prosperity and love as she embarks on her new journey. Friends and family also join in, enjoying the festivities while getting their own henna designs. Deep and Gurpreet’s Mehndi was more than a celebration—it was a reflection of their vibrant personalities and the warmth of their loved ones.
